The WHI automatic on/off controller is used on most electric pumps that are 240v and 1.1 kW or less. The WHI has an adjustable turn ON pressure point and this adjustment is between 150 kPa and 300 kPa so, it is a terrific controller where the static head above the pump is 29m or less. Supplied with cables that must be connected by a licensed electrician. PRICE IS FOR THE CONTROLLER ONLY. The image shows the WHI controller as installed on a Grundfos JP series pump. We use the WHI controller on household pressure pumps, bore pumps and irrigation pumps as it is an extremely reliable controller. The WHI is a fully automatic controller with run-dry protection and automatic restart functions.

WHI pump controller
I bought this controller to replace another WHI controller that had a fixed cut-in pressure of 1.5bar. There were no problems with the previous controller, but I wanted to set a higher turn-on pressure. With this adjustable controller I set the pressure to a little under 3 bar (2.8) and use a large pressure tank. My pump cuts off at 4 bar. I thought about the more expensive Grundfos controller with both high and low pressure adjustments, but for the large range of small pressure pumps that head to about 4 bar you can get about 1 bar pressure differential with this controller. The onlyreason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is that I haven't had it long enough to comment on reliability. Hopefully it proves reliable (as the previous one was). Incidentally, since I replaced a previous controller no wiring was required, just a new `computer-type' power lead that I had anyway.
