The Amiad 40mm Tagline filter comes complete with a 55 micron (and spare 130 micron) stainless steel heavy duty mesh filter screen, this screen should take out the majority of particles in the water that are above 55 micron in size, that is 0.055 of a millimetre. The screen is not disposable, it is easily cleaned and so can be re-used thousands of times thus reducing the overall cost of filtration. This filter should always be installed on the outlet side of your pump and before the other filters or UV unit. 1 1/2" male BSP inlet and outlet threads and pressure rated to 800 kPa. 116 L/min flow rate at a friction/headloss of only 10 kPa through the filter. Amiad 55 micron filter
I was surprised at the 55 micron stainless steel filter insert as it appears nowhere in the Amiad catalogue. The smallest is 80 microns. Where did it come from?
